Job Summary
On-the-feet, hands-on Animal Care Attendant role at Ortega Animal Care Center (Destination Pet). Responsibilities include keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless and sanitized, serving meals and water, monitoring health and happiness of each pet guest, reporting unusual findings to management, supervising playtime, assisting with brushing and bath time, and handling laundry. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for the duration of the shift. Availability required evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus; brand-new applicants who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply. Part-time position in Irving, Texas-based Destination Pet network with benefits including telehealth, 401K, and pet insurance.
