Animal Care Associate - Carson City (52741)

Provide compassionate, respectful daily animal care on the Carson City Campus, including assisting with intake and movement of animals, vaccinations, medications, and surgery prep and recovery as needed. Monitor animal health and behavior through wellness checks, maintain clean and sanitary animal areas, provide food, water, special diets, grooming, exercise, and enrichment, and maintain proper adoption-related documentation and kennel signage. Assist adopters, supports fosters, and coordinate transportation of animals to appointments and events. Contribute to fundraising activities, promote a positive public image, participate in department and shelter meetings, and support disaster preparedness and communityAnimal welfare initiatives. Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and observational skills, be a self-starter, and adhere to local regulations and NHS standards.
