Job Summary
Manage the Angel Tree Program by recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for Christmas program needs. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers' work, preparing records and reports for the Christmas program. Lift and stack donations in the warehouse, distribute donations to their proper place as instructed, and unload trucks at the Christmas warehouse. Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center, including cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and loading dock. Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and remove all trash to the disposal area. Assist with angel tree pick-ups from drop-off locations and maintain good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army. Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein, including special projects as needed. Work M-F 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with some Saturdays (40 hours per week) in a seasonal warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
