Job Summary
CRNA provides exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons, delivering anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures in a patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include implementing accurate, safe anesthetic care, monitoring vital signs per ASA guidelines, maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements, and contributing to quality management and professional development. Requires completion of a CRNA training program, current Connecticut APRN license, and AANA/CRNA credentials. Strong communication with the surgical team and patients; ability to remain calm under stress; ability to meet physical demands of perioperative care.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program
- Graduate of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the AANA/Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs
- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Connecticut
- AANA Certification
- State of CT RN and APRN License
- ACLS
- DEA Registration
- State of CT Controlled Substance Registration
- Evidence of current competence to practice as APRN/PA/CRNA/CNM via physician references during Medical Staff appointment process
- Ability to communicate clearly with surgeons, surgical team, patients and families
