Job Summary
Provide specialized anesthesiology services within dental practices during office-based surgery days, adapting to different clinical environments alongside a Pediatric Dentist. Manage airway and intravenous deep sedation for pediatric patients requiring more than local anesthesia, including those with dental anxiety or specific physical and cognitive disabilities. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient cooperation and ensure exceptional dental care experiences. This role supports Benevis's mission to deliver quality, affordable dental care to underserved communities, offering flexible part-time or independent contractor schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
- Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing
- PALS certification
- BLS certification
- DEA certification
- Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia
- Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
