Job Summary
Provide specialized anesthesiology services within a dental practice, adapting to different clinical environments alongside a Pediatric Dentist during in-office surgery days. Collaborate with dental teams to optimize patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management, focusing on children with dental anxiety, specific physical or cognitive disabilities, and those requiring intravenous deep sedation or general anesthesia. Maintain current licensure and certifications including PALS, BLS, and DEA while delivering high-level care to the pediatric population. Part-time, independent contractor position with multiple schedule choices available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
- Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing
- PALS certification
- BLS certification
- DEA certification
- Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia
- Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
