Job Summary
Provide routine and emergent anesthesia care for neonatal through geriatric patients across general surgery, obstetrics, cardiothoracic, and other subspecialties. Perform preoperative evaluations, administer appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks, and oversee nurse anesthetists for complex cases. Manage recovery room activities, including mechanical ventilator use and respiratory therapy, while participating in designated training activities and catastrophic problem resolution. Deliver consultation on preoperative preparation and chronic pain treatment, complete required reports and quality assurance reviews, and maintain all command-directed and TJC mandated training requirements. Maintain active medical license, DEA registration, and ACLS/BCLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Active and Unrestricted Medical License in ANY State
- Must be Board eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine
- Active DEA Registration OR CDS
- Active ACLS, BCLS, BLS
- Minimum of one year of experience actively practicing as a full-time Board Eligible or Board-Certified Physician certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
