Responsibilities include directing and coordinating anesthesia services across six operating rooms during day shifts with required call coverage. Duties encompass pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining patient consent, discussing anesthesia options and risks, and managing induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia while monitoring patients throughout surgical and medical procedures. The role operates under a supervision model with a 1 MD to 4 CRNA staffing ratio. Board-certified MDs with anesthesia expertise and locum-tenens experience are sought to ensure continuous coverage in the Anesthesia Department.
Required Qualifications
- MD degree
- Board Certification
- Active medical license in PA
- Experience in anesthesia within operating room settings
- Ability to supervise CRNAs under MD:CRNA staffing model
