Job Summary
Provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a locum-tenens capacity across clinic and operating room settings in a small Pennsylvania community hospital. Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, and overseeing high-volume orthopedic cases. Proficiency with peripheral nerve blocks is important, and care is delivered under a supervision model with CRNAs. Case load includes four anesthesia rooms with day shifts and 24-hour call, on-site at the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in Anesthesiology
- MD or DO
- Locum Tenens coverage experience
- Day shift and 24-hour call coverage
- On-site OR and clinic anesthesia
- Supervision by board-certified physician
