Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at OR in Munster, Indiana

Provide anesthesia services under a medical supervision model (1:6) during day shifts at an operating room in Munster, Indiana, with 50% hands-on MD involvement. Manage surgical case mix including general surgery, cardiac procedures via a dedicated open heart team, lungs and vascular cases, limited neurological cases including weekly spine procedures, light trauma volume, and pediatric cases for patients generally age 2 and older. Perform independent regional anesthesia alongside CRNAs while utilizing Epic EMR. Negotiable call coverage includes occasional after-hours responsibilities such as emergent C-sections. Credentialing requires approximately 90 days, as temporary privileges are not available. This Level III Trauma Center supports a broad range of surgical specialties including open heart, lungs, and vascular procedures.
