Job Summary
Anesthesiologist needed for locum tenens coverage in a rural critical access hospital. Provide comprehensive anesthesia services during 5x8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday) from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, handling inpatient cases, epidurals, and general anesthesia across all ages with an approximate patient load of 10–15. Requires board certification and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials, plus OB experience. May involve CRNA supervision with credentialing within about 60 days. The role emphasizes diverse case management and adherence to facility protocols in obstetric and non-obstetric surgeries.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification Required: Yes
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience with obstetric anesthesia (OB)
- Epidurals and general anesthesia administration
- Inpatient case management
- CRNA supervision may be involved
- On-site anesthesia services in a rural critical access setting
