Job Summary
Lead clinical excellence, quality, and safety for anesthesiology across BayCare's acute care hospitals by establishing standards, driving performance metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Manage the professional practice, workforce, and operational performance for employed anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Anesthesiologist Assistants while partnering with hospital presidents, surgical leadership, and the Vice President of Perioperative Services. Optimize staffing models, scheduling, and coverage to support surgical throughput and access, balancing medical group leadership with matrixed health system integration. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team through succession planning and culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise perioperative strategy and system-wide growth plans.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified Anesthesiologist
- Significant leadership experience in a hospital-based or large medical group anesthesiology practice
- Demonstrated success in physician leadership, clinical operations, quality improvement, and workforce management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading anesthesia services across multiple hospitals
