Anesthesia Veterinary Coordinator

Job Summary
Oversee daily anesthesia schedule to ensure efficient utilization of staff, equipment, and hospital resources while supporting exceptional patient care. Collaborate with all specialty departments to organize workflow of anesthetic procedures and ensure cases progress efficiently. Serve as primary communication liaison for the anesthesia department, facilitating updates on procedure status and scheduling changes. Monitor workflow, address scheduling conflicts, assist with triaging emergent cases, and delegate tasks to support staff. Develop and implement anesthetic protocols to promote safe, effective care. Perform blood collection procedures, assist with preparation for anesthetic procedures, and provide safe animal restraint. Monitor inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment, place orders, and communicate delays. Identify opportunities to improve workflow and patient care processes. Demonstrate multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience required; previous anesthesia experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of veterinary anesthesia, patient monitoring, perioperative patient care, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Strong leadership, delegation, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and clinical teams.
