Anesthesia Technologist II

Job Summary
Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications for diverse surgical and non-surgical cases before, during, and after procedures. Perform complex procedures under direction including line placement, intubation, and extubation while managing supply inventory and room turnover. Assemble supplies based on anesthesiologist preference cards, maintain par levels, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste and sharps. Respond to Code Blue and Malignant Hyperthermia situations, operate cell salvaging and intra-aortic balloon pumps, and assist with obtaining lab specimens and ABGs. Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition to the health care team. Requires AS degree or ASATT certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; located in Carmichael, California.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of an Accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree
- OR certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT), as a Technologist
- Certification via ASATT and Certified Anesthesia Technologist
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of training for Anesthesia Delivery Unit (ADU)
- 1-3 years Minimum 1 yr.experience in a Cardiac O.R. and/or Trauma Center
