Job Summary
Anesthesia Technician Medical Student role supporting the OU Health anesthesia department: under general supervision, maintain and distribute anesthesia equipment and supplies in operating rooms, stock supplies, drugs and equipment to facilitate department functions, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires being a medical student in years 2–4, with 0–3 years of experience in a surgical or hospital setting and current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Required Qualifications
- Medical student in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of medical school
- 0-3 years of experience in a surgical or hospital setting, medical supplies or equipment inventory
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
- Knowledge of anesthesia methods and procedures in the operating room as it relates to supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of basic inventory control
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and staff
