Job Summary
Anesthesia Technician responsible for the operations and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, calibration of pressure transducers, and ensuring patient safety in the operating room. Collaborates with the anesthesiologist and surgical team, assists with equipment preparation and emergency readiness, maintains QA records and infection-control standards, stocks supplies, and ensures anesthesia machines and carts are ready for use. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BCLS certification, and at least two years of experience or an ASATT-approved two-year program or an associate degree in a health-care field. Strong communication, organization, and ability to work under high pressure are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- BCLS Certification, required.
- Prior two (2) years’ experience working as an Anesthesia Technician
- OR
- Graduate of an ASATT approved two (2) year educational program of study OR Associate Degree in health care related field or suitable combination of education and experience, required.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to be well organized and work under high pressure required.
