Job Summary
Provide anesthesia technician services at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX, ensuring the military treatment facility maintains a high level of quality. Maintain current certification in CPR or BLS through an American Heart Association or Red Cross approved program. Possess basic knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile fields. A minimum of one year of healthcare experience within a perioperative setting is required. All contract healthcare professionals must read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or basic life support (BLS)
- CPR, and/or BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program
- A minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience within a perioperative setting
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other HCPs
- Basic knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile fields
- High School Diploma and/or GED Equivalent
