Job Summary
Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia services to patients across surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under medical direction. Operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to support perioperative care and patient safety. Collaborate with clinical staff and disciplines using effective verbal and written communication skills to facilitate timely OR function. Maintain confidential records, implement infection prevention techniques, and adhere to facility policies. Work four shifts per week with variable calls requiring 24 hours in-house coverage. This role supports the anesthesia care team at Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, serving diverse patient populations including new graduates committed to professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team
- Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA or PA-AA
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques
- Ability to maintain confidential records
- Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedure
- Facilitate the timely delivery of care and efficient function of the OR
- Graduation from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or its predecessor)
- Master's degree in Anesthesia from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
- Current Georgia CRNA license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
- Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Current Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
