Job Summary
Design and implement complex technical projects that change how users make major life decisions by building engaging mobile experiences. Collaborate with product and design teams to understand needs, then drive forward iOS best practices and design principles while using approved AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code. Review code, write documentation, and refine best practices to build maintainable, testable codebases. Continually obsess over improving user experience by finding performance bottlenecks and staying current with the iOS community. This hybrid role supports Redfin's infrastructure to ensure the app remains fast and stable for customers interacting with the home buying experience while on the move.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of development experience
- at least 2 years of native Android experience
- practical experience building Android applications in Kotlin and Java
- solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals
- Effective communication skills
- collaborate across distances and experience levels
- disagree constructively with respect for everyone's opinions and ideas
- passion for well-architected, clean, well-written code
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with running experiments and experimentation frameworks
- experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
