Job Summary
Android Developer Intern role focused on building and shipping features for Eulerity's Android app using AI-first development practices. Responsibilities include end-to-end feature development, testing, debugging, and review; leveraging agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot); writing effective prompts and system instructions; collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers; and contributing to adaptive UI that leverages AI to personalize user experience. Must be a current student in the NYC tri-state area with at least 1 year of Android development experience (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio), proficiency in Kotlin (Java a plus), strong prompting skills, UI development skills, knowledge of Android design patterns, experience with Git, and ability to work independently within a collaborative team. The internship offers compensation of $16-18/hour, location in NYC Midtown with 3 days/week in office, and a 30 hours/week schedule, with in-office lunches and snacks. Start date ASAP.
Required Qualifications
- Currently a student based in the NYC tri-state area
- At least 1 year of Android development experience using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio
- Proficient in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus)
- Strong prompting skills — you understand how to write effective prompts and system instructions to get high-quality output from LLMs
- Strong UI development skills in Jetpack Compose / XML layouts and hands-on experience with Android libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt, Room, etc.)
- Knowledge of Android design patterns and architectures (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
- Experience with Git
- You can take ownership of tasks and work independently, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Big Differentiators: AI-native development mindset and experience with prompts for code generation, debugging, or automated testing workflows
- Hands-on experience with Agile development frameworks
- Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Espresso)
- Comfort working with large volumes of data and thinking about performance at scale
