Job Summary
Ancillary Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and facilitates patient flow at Clearway Pain Solutions. Responsibilities include entering patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, requesting medical records, utilizing the Pharmacy Database Monitoring Program as directed by providers, recording vital signs and medical history, collecting patient information, and ensuring patient records and forms are accurately completed and maintained. Maintains HIPAA/compliance, supports patient education, assists with UDT/lab processes where applicable, and acts as a back-up for Medical Assistants. Travel up to 25% may be required; strong customer service, teamwork, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public
- Ability to work individually as well as within a team
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Patience and composure under stressful health-emergency conditions
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities

- General familiarity with Medical Assistant duties and clinical support
- Preferred: Completion of a Phlebotomy program with current Phlebotomy certification
- Preferred: One year of prior experience in a medical practice
- Preferred: One year of prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Driving/Travel: up to 25% travel and reliable transportation
