Job Summary
Conduct live newscasts and anchor stories across TV, connected television, and digital platforms while leading editorial discussions and decisions. Deliver accurate, unbiased content that connects audiences with essential local news, issues, and events. Manage multiple priorities as a proactive problem-solver, utilizing live shooting and editing skills to tell compelling stories under pressure. Work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be open to travel to discover neighborhood stories and interact with the community.
Required Qualifications
- Television news anchoring - 5-7 years
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience
- Experience in live shooting and editing news
- Excellent on-air camera skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Leadership skills
- Capable of managing multiple priorities
- Proactive problem-solver
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
- Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
- Work different shifts or longer shifts due to breaking news and severe weather emergencies
- Able to work weekends and holidays
