Job Summary
Maintain visual supervision and ensure a safe, structured environment for youth ages 10–17 in a secure residential setting. Support daily routines, academics, therapeutic groups, and life-skills activities while implementing behavioral management systems consistently. Conduct room checks, facility rounds, and safety inspections; monitor and distribute medications when nurses are unavailable. Assist with intakes, discharges, family visitations, and transport youth for court or medical appointments. Document all observations, incidents, and progress accurately in required systems. Provide guidance on hygiene, social skills, and feeding; participate in treatment team meetings and trainings. Report safety concerns promptly. Shift runs Saturday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of adolescent development and crisis intervention
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, boundaries, and youth engagement
- Ability to document accurately, follow routines, and de-escalate situations
- Skill in teamwork, communication, and problem resolution
- A minimum of a high school diploma
- One (1) year of experience working with at-risk youth
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Saturday-Sunday 7:00PM-7:00AM
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human service field preferred
