Job Summary
Part-time Anatomy & Physiology Faculty teaching a four-course sequence (Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab) to undergraduate BSN nursing students in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include developing and providing an approved Covista syllabus, organizing and updating course materials, delivering instruction with online tools, modeling effective communication, publishing terminal objectives and assessment schedules, ensuring exams align with objectives, providing timely feedback, and performing other duties as assigned while complying with policies. Coursework emphasizes foundational anatomy and physiology topics across body systems with a blended approach of face-to-face instruction and technology; courses may meet weekly or biweekly for eight weeks. Master’s degree and subject-matter expertise required; state-licensing/accreditation considerations may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree is required for all faculty positions (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching).
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
- Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
