Job Summary
Develop and provide students with an approved syllabus that follows the local campus template and includes terminal course objectives. Organize, prepare, and regularly revise all course materials while utilizing appropriate technological options for online discussions and assignments. Model effective oral and written communications to engage students, provide clarity, and improve learning outcomes. Set clear expectations by publishing terminal objectives, assignment dates, and evaluation weight distributions. Ensure exam content corresponds to course objectives and demonstrate consistency and fairness in grading while providing timely feedback. Complete other duties as assigned in support of the College of Nursing's three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and flexible post-licensure options.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching
- requisite subject matter expertise
- outstanding communication skills
- excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
- ability to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups
- compliance with all policies and standards
