Job Summary
Direct and manage all aspects of Anatomic Pathology laboratory operations and associated support services, including Courier and Client Services. Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate laboratory services to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance with CAP standards, and fiscal accountability. Oversee performance improvement programs, verify test methodologies, and implement corrective actions for significant deviations. Manage departmental budgets, resources, and personnel, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development. Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, and hospital leadership to support patient care and strategic objectives. Requires ASCP certification, five years of laboratory experience, and a bachelor's degree. Salary ranges from $82,347 to $127,628 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field
- 5 years laboratory experience in clinical or anatomic lab
- 3 years management, supervisory or leadership experience in laboratory
- ASCP Certification
- Extensive knowledge of anatomic pathology laboratory operations, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, fiscal management, and operational improvement
- Ability to lead personnel, manage change, and make sound decisions in a complex healthcare environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality assurance, method validation, and compliance requirements
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal
- Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
- Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
- Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members and Visitors
