Job Summary
Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges and deliver targeted analytics and AI-enabled solutions using Python, SQL, and modern data platforms. Develop robust data models for reporting and AI solutions, ensuring accuracy and scalability, while creating sustainable analytics products including AI agents to enhance automation. Present insights via Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to support strategic teaching, research, and operational decisions. Contribute to data quality initiatives and operational excellence across analytics workflows. This role sits within the Advanced Analytics, Planning & Enterprise Data team at the University of Sydney, where you will help shape the institution's data and AI capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Python coding skills, including experience building analytical models, automation workflows and production‐ready solutions
- Hands‐on experience developing AI agents or applied AI solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience with analytics tools, databases and data visualisation platforms
- A proactive, collaborative approach, comfort working in agile environments, and a commitment to innovation and continual learning
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment
- Completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Web development experience (full‐stack or front‐end) to support the delivery of analytics‐driven applications
