Job Summary
Lead exploratory and statistical analyses of clinical, genetic, and healthcare claims data to identify drivers of patient outcomes and cost efficiency; develop standardized analytical models; build interactive dashboards with Looker; optimize SQL queries and Databricks workflows; collaborate with data scientists, architects, analysts, and developers; translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders; leverage AWS technologies (Databricks, Amazon RDS PostgreSQL) to support data engineering and analytics initiatives; ensure data quality and support HIPAA/privacy requirements; work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience analyzing healthcare data including medical and pharmacy claims
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Databricks ecosystem, including Data Lake and Spark SQL
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Looker (LookML experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success analyzing large-scale datasets containing millions of records and communicating meaningful business insights
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, with familiarity using Jupyter Notebooks for analysis and documentation
- Experience validating clinical data quality and testing analytics workflows
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, agile environments
