Job Summary
Analytics Engineer role at team.blue to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets on a Databricks-based platform, building KPIs and semantic models, and delivering reliable data products across domains (marketing attribution, product usage, customer care, revenue). Engage with business partners to validate KPI definitions, apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (version control, testing, CI/CD, documentation), onboard new data domains with limited guidance, and act as a bridge between data engineers and analysts to enable self-service reporting across multiple brands and domains.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related data roles
- Proficiency with dbt Core or dbt Cloud
- Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Strong SQL skills including complex transformations and window functions
- Understanding of dimensional modelling, data vault, or similar warehousing patterns
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple data domains with limited documentation
- Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders
- Experience across marketing, product analytics, customer care, and financial/subscription data
