Analytics Engineer

Job Summary
An experienced analytics engineer with a focus on large-scale, distributed data pipelines will be responsible for the creation of a next-generation analytics platform for the Comcast X1 product. Responsibilities include developing and supporting analytics infrastructure for high-volume data pipelines, leading code reviews, mentoring team members, and troubleshooting production issues. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, 5 to 7 years of development experience in Java/Scala, and proficiency in analytics technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Comp. Science or related field
- At least 5 years solid development experience working on the Linux/Unix platform
- 5 to 7 years solid development experience working in Java/Scala
- At least 2 years of experience in the analytics sphere and working with distributed compute frameworks
- Knowledge of Java, Scala, Spark, Storm, Kafka, Kinesis, Avro
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in AWS
- Familiarity with analytics frameworks
