Job Summary
Analytics Engineer role focused on turning a massive live dataset of customer interactions into actionable insights. You’ll conduct deep-dive analysis and build internal reports and dashboards to inform product and business decisions, partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and AI Product Specialists to guide how AI agents are built and evaluated for customers, define how key metrics are calculated and presented in the Regal app, and document the data model and metrics. The position emphasizes leveraging SQL/dbt, modern data warehouses (ClickHouse/Snowflake preferred), and BI tools (Looker or equivalent) to enable data-driven decisions, while collaborating across AI and human teams in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as an analytics engineer, data analyst or management consultant
- Fluent writing SQL and using dbt
- Experience with any modern warehouse; ClickHouse/Snowflake are preferred
- Comfortable working with Looker or a comparable dashboarding tool
- Passionate about data access and empowering others to make decisions with data
- Excited to work alongside AI tools - not just using them, but improving their outputs by rigorously reviewing, refining, and iterating on AI-generated code and analyses
- Enthusiastic about the fast-paced work environment of an early-stage startup
- Excellent communication skills and ability to tell a story with data
