Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operational activities for the Analytics team by diagnosing and troubleshooting production errors, conducting root cause analysis, and resolving incidents. Build new requirements and improve processes using Snowflake, Python, SQL, and Azure, ensuring all work meets prescribed standards and undergoes peer review. Debug complex data models and optimize cloud-based development work to support the wider department. Operate independently as a self-starter while collaborating with stakeholders and engineers to deliver value through continuous system enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Snowflake experience
- Strong Python skills
- Confident in SQL, such as creating stored procedures from scratch
- Experience developing code to a prescribed standard for peer review
- Debugging production errors, root cause analysis, and incident management
- Understanding of data models
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organisational ability
- Communication with stakeholders, engineers and end-users
- Self-starter, can operate independently without awaiting instructions
- Thrives working in a collaborative and team environment
- 5+ years of total experience in data and cloud related roles
- Microsoft Azure experience (2+ years)
- Excellent SQL skills (4+ years full ETL experience, confident and independent)
- Databricks (1+ year)
- Strong Python experience (3+ years, familiar with pandas and pyodbc essential)
- Knowledge of financial instruments (1+ years) either through study or work
- Good Excel skills (3+ years)
- Graduate in any discipline, but preference for IT or Finance related

- VBA desirable (1+ year)
- Dashboard building desirable (1+ year in PowerBI/Spotfire etc.)
- Prior engineering experience, CI/CD, releases and pipelines
- SQL Server DBA experience
- Logic Apps, Function Apps, Blob Storage, Orchestration
- JavaScript or other front end UI development
- Automation related experience
- Azure Data Factory (creating, running, troubleshooting pipelines)
