Job Summary
Build and own dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics that drive decisions across operations, finance, and product. Partner with engineering to design and implement the data warehouse and BI stack using Snowflake, Sigma, and dbt. Define key metrics and data models for operational and financial performance while preparing datasets that power AI and machine learning initiatives. Establish data quality standards and documentation as the foundation for a future data team. Work cross-functionally with product, ops, finance, and engineering to understand needs and deliver insights. This role is based in New York City (3 days/week minimum in office) with a competitive salary of $150k–$175k.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar), with strong academic performance
- 4+ years of experience with the modern data stack: a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), a transformation layer or an orchestrator (dbt, Airflow, Prefect), and a modern BI tool (Looker, Sigma, Hex, Metabase)
- Strong opinions about how to architect data pipelines
- Deep SQL expertise
- Ability to write complex queries
- Ability to optimize performance
- Ability to model data cleanly
- Demonstrated grit and resourcefulness
