Job Summary
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and interviews. Translate these into functional specifications, user stories, and BI solution designs. Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using star/snowflake schemas, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations. Connect and integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud platforms. Optimize report performance, data refresh, and dataset design for scalability while implementing row-level security and governance. Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and data validation to drive high-quality delivery on time and on budget. Facilitate user acceptance testing, support deployment, and enable self-service analytics through end-user training and documentation. Manage risks, assumptions, and dependencies across projects using Waterfall or Agile methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and offshore delivery centers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of proven experience delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI
- Strong hands-on expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling
- Demonstrable business analyst experience - requirements gathering, functional documentation, and stakeholder management
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or cloud data platforms is good to have
- Experience working with ERP data sources (Oracle, SAP, or similar) is advantageous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to identify and understand Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies
- Proven experience of working with clients and offshore delivery centres and remote teams
- Strong organisational skills managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Microsoft certifications (PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst, or equivalent) is good to have
- Strong Technical and Emotional Quotient
