Job Summary
Provide day-to-day technical supervision of testing personnel, ensuring proper performance of laboratory procedures and accurate reporting of test results. Analyze technical problems in accordance with established policies and review quality control, proficiency testing, and preventative maintenance records to ensure systems meet performance specifications. Collaborate with directors on capital purchases, new equipment validation, and policy development while managing inventory, cost accounting, and supply purchasing. Maintain regulatory compliance and conduct competency evaluations for staff, providing orientation and training as needed. Work 40 hours daily from 7am to 3pm in a clinical environment with a $12,500 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP categorical certification
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory
