Analytical Instraument Technician

Job Summary
Provide comprehensive analytical equipment support to internal and external customers, acting as the point person for preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, and vendor repairs. Resolve instrument issues, perform quality reviews, and support the development of QC test methods while developing and supporting plant and lab instrumentation to improve quality. Prepare and deliver technical reports to the support team, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure safety activities are integrated into all job aspects. Requires a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering with five years of industrial experience in quality or analytical testing, including proficiency in chromatography and spectroscopy.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering, (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years' experience in quality or analytical testing in an industrial environment
- Aptitude in organic analysis with chromatography (like GC, GPC, HPLC etc.) and spectroscopy (like IR, NMR etc.)
- Experience in maintenance/service of analytical equipment
- Demonstrated ability to train others in the use of analytical equipment or new processes/procedures
- Excellent communication of technical and operational activities verbally and in writing, with an ability to influence from a distance
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Innovative self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical background
- Minimum 5 years related industrial experience
