Analytical Chemistry Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Oversee, schedule, and perform routine and non-routine analytical testing for raw material, finished product, and stability samples according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines. Reviews and interprets test results for accuracy, leads investigations for out-of-specification findings, and supervises the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment such as HPLC, GC, and FTIR. Ensures team members maintain proficiency with SOPs and standard operating procedures while keeping current with advances in analytical techniques and pharmaceutical industry standards. Provides leadership across workstations to facilitate cross-training and backup coverage, ensuring meticulous documentation of all activities in accordance with cGMP and data integrity requirements. Leads the development and revision of SOPs and laboratory documentation to align with regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Analytical Chemistry or related science field
- Directly related experience of 3-4 years in an analytical chemistry laboratory within pharmaceutical industry
- Hands-on experience with sample preparative chemistry and wet chemistry analysis per compendial monograph procedures
- Understanding of instrumental analysis procedures utilized in a modern chemistry laboratory
- Demonstrated competence with computer applications and programs related to laboratory applications
- Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
