Job Summary
Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Instrument Technician role focusing on keeping instruments qualified, compliant, and ready for science. Responsibilities include qualifying instruments (HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis, and more), performing priority repairs and replacing consumables, conducting scheduled and post-maintenance qualifications to maintain compliance, troubleshooting calibration issues, assisting with instrument upgrades, tracking metrics, and coordinating vendor on-site maintenance. Requires a Bachelor's degree in science (Chemistry preferred) with 2 years of related lab experience and GMP familiarity; US work authorization without sponsorship. Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, plus the ability to learn new techniques and maintain accurate records. This is a full-time position in Indianapolis, IN (Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, overtime as needed) with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science (Chemistry preferred)
- 2 years of related work experience in industry labs or hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, KR, UV-Vis)
- basic troubleshooting and calibration of lab instruments
- GMP experience strongly preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
