Job Summary
Perform and maintain calibration and verification procedures for FTIR, HPLC, DSC, GC, and other analytical equipment. Maintain calibration and maintenance records, manage instrumentation repair quotes, and support in-process, final, and R&I laboratories as a backup to technicians. Purchase lab supplies, investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, and generate raw material specifications while supporting shelf life management and supplier quality roles. Work with outside resources on installation and service contracts for analytical instrumentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree in an engineering field of discipline
- Minimum 5 years' of relevant work experience in Manufacturing
- 3 + years of experience in laboratory setting
- Project management
- Experience using six-sigma tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and chemical and/or mechanical testing
Desired Qualifications
- BS Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Six Sigma Greenbelt
- Experience in aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites industries
- Experience working in a unionized environment
