Analytical Chemist - Organics (PFAS)

Job Summary
Conduct PFAS and organic analysis using LC-MS/MS and applicable instrumentation to generate accurate, defensible data for regulatory compliance. Manage analytical data in LIMS, perform instrument calibrations, quality control checks, and preventative maintenance while adhering to QA/QC standards. Support method development, validation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting instrumentation and conducting root cause analysis. Develop and update SOPs, assist with training staff, and prepare responses for internal and external audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support laboratory and client needs. Full-time, on-site role Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM with flexibility for extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related scientific field
- 3+ years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience performing PFAS and/or organic testing using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, or GC instrumentation
- Demonstrated experience with QA/QC analysis, analytical data review, root cause analysis, corrective action, method development, and CAPA
- Proficient in LIMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Routine handling of environmental samples (including wastewater and soil) and laboratory chemicals; appropriate PPE is provided and required
