Job Summary
Conduct diversified chemical testing on raw materials, bulk liquids, and finished products using GC, HPLC, IR, and wet titration methods per USP and SOPs. Ensure all analyzed materials meet specification criteria before release while maintaining accurate, traceable documentation in LIMS and lab logs. Coordinate batch releases, determine product disposition, and perform instrument calibration and maintenance. Clean laboratory areas and prepare test solutions as needed. Train lower-level chemists on methodologies and safety protocols. Handle special projects including method validation and transfer. Work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to toxic materials and extended periods of standing or walking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, other related science
- Must know MS Office (Word, Excel...)
- Minimum knowledge of LIMS
- Demonstrate ability to perform work accurately and be able to follow test methodology
- A minimum of 3 – 6 years' experience in a laboratory environment (Analytical Chemistry Lab preferred)
- GC, HPLC, Wet Chemistry
- Ability to multi-task and have good time management skills
- Must have good communication and customer service skills
- Incumbents must be able to use personal protective equipment (e.g. respirators, gloves, etc.)
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship
