Analytical Chemist II

Job Summary
Conduct routine and complex laboratory testing for raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples using approved analytical methods. Execute laboratory work following best-practice techniques and cGMP requirements while accurately analyzing data to support sample release. Peer review notebooks, verify raw data from electronic systems, and enter results into reporting forms. Mentor junior chemists, troubleshoot equipment, and lead root cause analysis for out-of-specification results. Requires a BS or MS in Chemistry with 2-5 years of pharmaceutical experience, proficiency in HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry, and ability to work with hazardous materials under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- 2-5 years of pharmaceutical experience
- Experience with conducting analysis by FT-IR, UV/Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry techniques
- Highly skilled in advanced techniques such as HPLC, GC, and ICP testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience outside of pharmaceuticals in chemistry quality control or R&D
