Job Summary
Conduct analytical testing of APIs and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV, IR, and KF instruments to evaluate assay, impurities, identification, and limit tests. Prepare samples and mobile phases, troubleshoot instrument and method issues, and perform method transfers and validations. Ensure all work complies with GMP, GLP, and SOPs while maintaining accurate documentation in lab books and electronic systems. Recognize out-of-trend results and assist in laboratory investigations. Order supplies, maintain equipment through calibration and preventive maintenance, and mentor junior staff. Participate in meetings and audit preparations as required.
Required Qualifications

- Computer proficiency- Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- 5-10 years working with analytical instrumentation
- Ability to work directly from the USP or EP pharmacopeia to write protocols and execute methods
- experience working in contract Laboratory
- experience working with Cosmetic Products, such as creams, lotions, ointments and other challenging matrixes
- experience working with GC-MS
- Proficient in operating HPLC and GC
- Hands on experience with analytical data acquisition software e.g. Chromeleon, e-LIMS, ETQ etc.
- In-depth understanding of chromatography principles, types and techniques
- high troubleshooting skills, both with instruments and methods
- Be able to write clear, attributable lab reports with minimal to no corrections
- Be able to read, understand and interpret any type of Pharmacopoeia, including the references to general chapters
- Be able to work under GMP guidelines, and be proficient with USP/EP/BP testing
- Be competent in research and study skills to learn about innovative methodologies and equipment used for problem solving and troubleshooting
- Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with GC-MS is an asset
- Experience working with Cosmetic Products, such as creams, lotions, ointments and other challenging matrixes
