Job Summary
Conduct routine and non-routine analytical quality control analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished products, and stability samples while adhering to GMPs and regulatory requirements. Perform testing per compendia or vendor methodology using instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH meters, and Karl Fischer. Read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures, then write or review SOPs, methods, and laboratory investigations. Document all laboratory work accurately in accordance with cGMP standards. Review daily calibration checks, equipment maintenance, and solution preparations. Train new Analytical Chemist I on methods and instrumentation. Work 30 hours per week in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
- Experience and knowledge of HPLC, GC, AAS and Wet Chemistry procedures
- Knowledge of Laboratory systems for Reference Standards, Chemical Inventory, Calibrations, Volumetric Solution Preparation and Expiration, Notebook documentation standard, calculations and reporting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Detailed-oriented with high level of accuracy and integrity in laboratory testing and documentation
- Employment eligibility verification (E-Verify)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Pass a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience in pharmaceutical and/or cGMP laboratory
