Job Summary
Prepare specimens for routine drug testing and perform confirmation assays according to toxicology testing methods. Interface with LC/MS/MS and GC/MS instruments to review data before sending it to certifiers, while communicating with other departments to resolve testing issues. Assist with training new staff on sample preparation and instrument operation, and maintain lab standards by cleaning glassware and preparing reagents. Adhere to all security procedures and the Employee Guidebook to ensure donor confidentiality. Work full-time shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, with company-paid training and uniform allowance included.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent relevant field
- 1-3+ years experience operating and reviewing data for an LC-MS/MS instrument
- 1-3+ years experience in a biological laboratory environment
- Ability to work safely with instruments/equipment, chemicals, and biological samples
- Ability to use computer, monitor, cell phone, mouse and keyboard extensively
- Ability to read, write, listen and speak clearly
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions
- Ability to drive a vehicle and travel
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Mobility, walking, climbing, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting (minimum of 10 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, fine eye-hand coordination
- Ability to adhere to all security procedures for ensuring the confidentiality of donor information
- Ability to adhere to all established guidelines outlined in Averhealth Employee Guidebook
