Job Summary

Develop analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions by deconstructing ambiguous information and developing data schemas for structured observations. Evaluate existing methods, models, and algorithms to produce accurate, anticipatory analysis for intelligence production. Identify, retrieve, and manipulate structured data sets using scripts, visual analytic modeling tools, and Standard Operating Procedures. Combine empirical or quantitative methods with data analysis to generate complex, data-driven assessments. This role requires 3+ years of experience with data exploration, statistical programming in Python or R, and predictive modeling. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Poly. Based in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, this position involves compressed schedules exceeding 40 hours when project demands require it, with the ability to travel if needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, data mining, decision analysis or modeling and simulation
  • 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis, such as Python or R
  • Experience developing and documenting predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
  • Formal training or professional experience conducting quantitative social science, including survey design and analysis and/or field or laboratory experiments
  • Possession of excellent detail-oriented and organizational skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science or quantitative social science or four additional years of experience in those fields
  • Willing to travel, if needed
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with current CI Poly (adjudicated within the past 5 years or ability to pass a CI Poly)

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in quantitative social science including statistics and methodological training
  • Ability to work with non-technical audiences on technical problems in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment, and balance long and short-term taskings
  • Ability to take poorly defined problems and convert them into questions for which practical quantitative solutions can be defined
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation to succeed in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment and compose client deliverable quality documentation, analysis, and reports
