Job Summary
Conduct finite element analyses of turbine and transmission components, including airfoils, seals, and gears. Support Design Integrated Product Teams and field investigations with discipline-specific expertise. Prepare vibration validation test requests, evaluate results to formulate technical conclusions, and draft engineering and certification documentation. Manage multiple projects while communicating complex findings to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of gas turbine engines
- Strong communication skills
- Fundamental understanding of finite element modeling (FEM) and vibration engineering principles
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Successful completion of criminal background check
- Applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
