Job Summary
Conduct profitability analyses on ongoing projects and ensure accurate cost accounting while developing new tools to monitor expenditures. Serve as the primary contact for financial forecasting and planning for XNRGY subsidiaries, contributing to monthly budget variance analysis during the month-end closing process. Develop additional analyses based on monthly results to understand variances, ensuring up-to-date financial information is incorporated into forecasts. Collaborate with operations and other departments to determine necessary forecast adjustments and recommend corrective actions to improve financial data quality. Keep stakeholders informed of forecast developments and their impact on company results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a multi-entity environment
- Strong expertise in variance analysis
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proactive team player with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative, with the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
- Professional proficiency in French is required and essential for all employees based in Montreal
- Professional proficiency in English is also important, as it enables collaboration with group employees located in the United States and elsewhere around the world
