Job Summary
Senior Technical Analyst in McDonald’s Global Technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) team, Hyderabad, focusing on data management and operations within the Global Data & Analytics Platform (GDAP). Responsible for providing technical guidance to developers and squads, shaping roadmaps/backlogs, and delivering scalable data integration solutions. Designs and documents technical architectures, acceptance criteria, and requirements for feature development; leads the creation and validation of user stories and technical deliverables. Specializes in Talend ETL processes, data pipelines, and performance scaling, with hands-on development to support the team. Works with AWS Redshift, Talend, and broader AWS services; ensures data quality, data flow alignment with business goals, and SOX/ITGC compliance. Facilitates Agile ceremonies, collaborates with product owners and engineers, and contributes as a hands-on technologist when needed. Evaluates trade-offs, guides tech stack decisions, and supports hiring and developing engineers. Focus areas include data integration for accounting/financial domains, data quality, and scalable data infrastructure within a product-centric organization.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS RedShift or Talend
- Hands-on experience with Talend ETL and AWS RedShift
- Strong in Talend and AWS Redshift; familiarity with S3, EC2, Athena, DocDB
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Oracle database systems
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in implementing IT General Controls (ITGC) to ensure SOX compliance
- Proficiency in SQL, data integration tools, and scripting languages
- Experience creating detailed requirements, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in product-centric organizations or product owner certification
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience applying data to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- Experience in Data warehouse is a plus
- Experience / Knowledge of accounting and financial solutions across different industries (QSR industry a plus)
- Experience with large-scale implementation project experience within global organizations
- Experience working collaboratively with business partners to drive outcomes and solve complex technical challenges
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical roadmaps
- Experience working in product-centric organizations and or product owner certification
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools
- Experience in implementing and managing IT General Controls (ITGC) to ensure SOX compliance
- Experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS RedShift and Talend ETL integrations in the accounting and financial data domains
- Strong in Talend and AWS Redshift, with understanding of other AWS services like S3, EC2, Athena, DocDB

- Knowledge of Agile software development process including application of Agile techniques and delivery practices
- Ability to contribute as a hands-on technologist when needed (e.g. scripting, GitHub)
