Job Summary
Analyst role within AMT’s Research Services team focused on creating market research data and analysis to inform strategic decisions for industry leaders. Responsibilities include conducting research from diverse sources, building relationships with subscribers and the broader industry, producing and presenting market research findings, representing AMT at trade shows and conferences, and collaborating with internal teams to prioritize tasks and analyst development. The position is an in-office role based in McLean, VA, with 5%–15% travel annually. Required is a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or economics (graduate degrees helpful), plus strong listening/writing/speaking abilities, client-facing experience in a consulting context, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; SQL and business analytics/data visualization experience are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or economics discipline (required); relevant graduate degrees helpful
- No prior years of work experience required; Applicants with years of experience commensurate with Senior Analyst and Associate roles are encouraged to apply
- Strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities; attention to detail and organization; writing ability covers business and technical topics
- Collaborative approach within the research team with significant client-facing interactions in a consulting capacity
- Prior market research experience preferred
- Prior experience in product design, development, or manufacturing processes strongly preferred
- Prior experience in developing data processes, automating data processes, and/or building business intelligence applications helpful
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; SQL and experience with business analytics and data visualization packages (PowerBI, Tableau or similar) preferred; familiarity with statistical tools helpful but not required
- In-office role with travel 5% to 15% annually
